About

Greg Hession

Family Legal Publishing provides books that show you how family law is actually practiced. We have books for lawyers, with all the basics and professional analysis, as well as “Legal Crisis and Survival Guides” to help non-lawyers survive in a hostile legal system.

We have started with a topic that causes every lawyer and defendant to tremble – Defense of domestic abuse restraining orders under Mass. General Laws Chapter 209A. Gregory A. Hession J.D., who has twenty-five years of court experience, wrote them.

Our belief is that the legal system is not user-friendly. In fact, it is often nearly impossible to get real justice. It is infected with delays, complicated rules, insider politics, high costs, and arbitrary and inconsistent outcomes. The goal of our books is to help you through this process, by showing the real way cases are done.

Attorney Hession is a solo practitioner in Hampden County, specializing in family law and civil litigation. He has encountered just about every kind of situation or problem in restraining order defense over the years. His books on that topics are full of real-world examples, sample witness exams, and expose all the secret things going on behind the law which affect the outcome.

We will be adding other family law titles as soon, such as divorce, paternity, defending against the Mass. Dept. of Children and Families, and guardianship, as they can be written and published. Authors who want to write or co-write further volumes in this series are urged to contact the publisher.
